Stitched heads

This year I've decided to limit the amount of presents that I will be buying, even more then usual. My guideline is to make presents which fit in one of these three categories:

1 - Home crafted
2 - Recycled goods which I have no use for, and will be nice for someone else
3 - If bought, it has to be local product (eg. the only things I bought sofar is a selection of honey, honey sweets, and honey soap for some Japanese friends in London - all produced by a producer in Clermont l'Herault 15 minutes drive away)

In the fist category, I've made a "batch" of "heads" - to be used decoratively by hanging them from their little loop, or practically as an oven glove or a mat to put a dish on...

...Freestyle machine stitching, small range of colours. 20 x 20 cm in size. I'd like to make some bigger ones next, but this is the first batch of 16, for christmas presents only...

  1. Great to see you blogging again! I love the heads and your ideas for making Christmas less commercial.
