This blanket plays on the heart shape. I know it’s appropriate for the time of the year, but I hadn’t planned it that way. It’s just the design that came to mind when I started working with these materials.
It is made with a mix of Fairtrade and recycled material (the area of small flowers running along one side comes from an 80s frilled skirt).
The edging and the backing are made with a piece ofsoft cotton ( small white and red stripes), from my collection. The other pieces come from a UK Fairtrade company.
The wadding comes from a woolly (blue) blanket.
All stitching is done by hand.
Size 60 x60 cm blanket.
