Fish and Cloud baby blanket

After spending a little time putting together baby bibs, I’ve finally finished working on this super soft large size blanket (70 x 70cm), featuring a vividly coloured appliqué fish and a white appliqué cloud. The background is made with two pieces of Fair-trade cotton in tones of white, blue and green. The cloud is in white cotton stitched onto a blue base and hand stitched all around. The fish was made using a selection of cotton fabric remnants. For the edging, and backing, I’ve used one piece of a lovely grey which has a little sheen to it. All stitching is done by hand, and the wadding gives this blanket a lovely fluffy feel.
