Patchwork blanket with “snail text”. Couverture pour bébé avec texte “escargot”

“What does the snail do inside of its shell? Is it waiting for the Spring?”

I cut out these little rectangles of texts from a baby’s pyjama and assembled them with little rectangles of excess fabric from a duvet cover.

Hand stitched the patchwork and back layer, which is made using a beautiful piece of Fairtrade cotton material with stylish flower design.

Hand stitched the edging.

Et voila a 68 x 66 cm blanket fit for a lovely baby to use everyday.

J’ai découpés les rectangles de texte d’un pyjama pour bébé et les ai assemblés avec des morceaux de tissu venant d’une housse pour duvet qui était trop grande.

J’ai cousues à la main les épaisseurs du patchwork et du verso qui est fait à partir d’une pièce magnifique de tissu issu du commerce équitable avec un très joli motif fleuri.

J’ai cousu le rebord à la main.

Et voila une couverture qu’un merveilleux bébé pourra utiliser tous les jours.
