I've been asked to make something with the general theme ethnic/oriental.
I'm working on a larger shape then usual (60x60cm). This one will be 70 x 70cm. I've started working on the background using a beautiful dark orange striped cotton piece, and three pieces of lushious silk with little floral design (samples from my time working in the design room at Duchamp, London).
I will get together shortly with my customer to decide in which direction to go from here. Unless I find inspiration in the meantime. I was thinking earlier today maybe adding a circular shape, with leaf/petal shapes.
